Whether you aspire to build a bionic eye, design emergency housing, work on artificial intelligence or provide clean water to the developing world, UNSW Open Day on Saturday 3 September can help you discover how to change the world.

“Current staff and students will be on hand to answer questions about the best degree program for you, give information about Guaranteed Entry, and how to apply for scholarships and international exchange programs,” says Jonathon Strauss, manager of the UNSW Future Students office.

“Find out about our #worldchangers theme on the UNSW Worldchangers website and don’t forget to grab an Open Day program, or download the UNSW Map app, for a successful, informative and fun day,” he says.

There will be faculty lectures, campus and accommodation tours and hands-on activities. And of course, free food and goodies.

See UNSW’s world champion robot soccer players in action and speak to the RoboCup team about their recent trip to Germany and how you could become part of the action.

Visitors can also test ride one of UNSW’s newest innovations in engineering, the Hy-Cycle hydrogen-powered bike. The Hy-Cycle produces its own electricity with hydrogen and oxygen from the air.

The UNSW Business School will show students how interactive, fun and relevant studying business can be, and will bust a few myths along the way.

International guest Mr Monopoly will visit campus to launch the UNSW Business School Monopoly game – an Australian-first that highlights UNSW’s expertise in real estate studies.

Doors to UNSW Art & Design’s Paddington campus will be thrown open to showcase the faculty's cutting-edge design work, exhibitions, and state-of-the-art studios and media screenings.

Dr John McGhee will demonstrate his virtual reality research in the UNSW Galleries – using medical data to build an immersive virtual reality experience.
